Scientific Titles:
May 2014, Research Assistant
Primary Research Interests:
– Optimization of analytical methods for the determination of toxic elements in food and animal feed.
– Analysis of the distribution of contaminants in food, animal feed, and environment (water, sediment, and biota).
– Analysis of the efficiency of the processes of stabilization and solidification of contaminated sediment through the use of various forms of biomass, and the identification of optimized physical and chemical conditions, in which the efficiency of the process is maximal.
Main Daily and Research Activities:
– Determination food quality and safety parameters through standard laboratory methods (Rapid N Cube instruments using The Dumas method, emission flame photometry, atomic absorption spectometry, direct potentiometry, conductometry, and other classic analytical techniques, such as volumetric and gravimetric analyses).
– Developmentof new sample preparation methods for fast and more accurate determinationof food and feed contaminants.
