Main research interests:
– Detection of viral diseases of domestic and wild animals by serological (ELISA, VN test, HI test) and molecular (PCR, RT-PCR, real-time PCR and RT-PCR) diagnostic methods, cultivation of cell lines and virus isolation; monitoring the immune response to viral infections; vector-borne viral diseases of animals, diagnosis, control and eradication of infectious diseases and zoonoses.
Main daily and research activities:
– Diagnosing of animal viral diseases by classical laboratory methods (virus isolation on cell cultures and embryonated eggs, VN test, ELISA, HI test, fluorescent antibody technique (TFA), detection of viral agents of animal diseases by molecular techniques (PCR and real time PCR);
– Reproduction and maintenance of cell cultures;
– Prevention, control and eradication of infectious animal diseases and zoonoses;
– Detection of viruses in the environment, including wild animals;
– Vector diseases of animals (serological diagnostic methods);
– Participation in the introduction and monitoring of the laboratory standard SRPS ISO 17025:2017 and the Quality System.
